ABOUT LOLA

LOLA Architecture was founded by Erica Lowe and Maria Landry in 2018 with the intent of creating architecture that is conscious of its environmental footprint, material choices, energy use and construction methods. We are a research-based, full service architecture firm focused on responsible design solutions to every project. We engage in a cross-disciplinary approach to solving problems, all the while prioritizing craft, a tactile and personal experience, and a connection to the surrounding environment. Our goal is to improve the way you inhabit and experience the world.

ERICA LOWE

Founding Principal Architect, AAA, AIBC, MRAIC

Erica's strength lies in her ability to connect with clients and execute a project that aligns with their vision. She balances technical, budget and schedule requirements with a design sensibility that focuses on the sensory experience.  An accomplished architect with over 12 years of experience, Erica has successfully lead projects of all scales ranging from single family houses to high profile recreation facilities. She approaches every project in an integrated way, acting as a facilitator, communicator, coordinator, collaborator, and marketer.

Having grown up on an organic farm, Erica developed an appreciation for the importance of human connection; with her neighbours, to the land, and with the built environment. Erica brings this appreciation to architectural design through supporting the project team, emphasizing natural materials and well crafted details, and enhancing spaces through the incorporation of smart technologies.
